Anywhere central should be good. Especially like anywhere round the Pantheon, Campo dei
Fiore, and Piazza Navona. Some people like the other side of the river in Trastevere, but it seems to defeat the object of being in Rome to me. The whole central area is pretty compact really, never had to use public transport.
We only got the Hotel Pantheon as a last minute bargain - not cheap normally. Wouldn't mind seeing a link to the appartment?
