Viewed from space, you can see the logic in the Argentine (Irish, Spanish) position.

However, fundamentally, a significant majority of Falklanders (Nornironers, Gibraltese) wish to continue to be governed by us.

If that changes in any territory then we need to be straightforward about sovereignty going where the inhabitants of that territory want it to go. But until it does those territories are ours.

I've often wondered if Norfolk shouldn't secede, actually. We'd have much better laws than the rest of the UK.
