I would suprised if we even qualified for the 2014 world cup under Hodgson
because I can see us being tough to beat but not winning enough games due to tactics that will earn us a fair few draws.
Long term we need a manager who picks the best TECHNICAL footballers.
Adam Johnson, England's best pure dribbler and a player that has good movement and vision. Why is he overlooked for water carriers like Downing and Milner who add very little?
Micah Richards, a right back that has natural defensive ability. Yeah Glen Johnson was good going forward today, but he has been a liability at the back all tournament which is why cloggers like Milner had to play, just to protect him. Play Richards and you can play a proper winger/attacking forward infront of him.
Leon Britton, the best passer in the premier league this season, not even given a mention. Look at what Pirlo did for Italy tonight (and this entire tournament).
Can see Hodgson turning us into utter cloggers long term, complete backwards step for English football that is already in the duldrums.
