Typical of UEFA, why f**k about with something that isn`t broken.

One side of the argument is that why should lower ranking teams be denied the opportunity to play in this tournament?

My answer is, that they have the opportunity to qualify through the same process as everyone else.

now f**king leave it alone, you`ve already f**ked up the European Cup and UEFA Cup and Cup Winner Cup. lets not see The European Champioships go down the same route.
