Yes we are s**t but

not as s**te as some are making out. The squad is threadbare I agree, Take Gerrard and Parker out of the midfield and we really are struggling.

Up front is just as thin on the ground but that`s is all we have and we just have to get on with it.

After the world cup every man and his fenton was calling for wholesale change and kicking out of the old guard. Well most of the old guard have gone and this is what we are left with.

It tells us more about the state of English football than anything else.A situation that isn`t going to change anytime soon
