Safri

is not our saviour, or the be all and end all everyone makes him out to be!! He is a great "sitting" midfielder, there is no doubting this, but he does tend to give the ball away with some real dodgy passing at times, is very injury prone, and will allways miss games due to international commitments and religon.

What our problem really is, is a lack of an attacking central midfielder (ala Francis) someone who gets in the oppositions box, gets beyond our strikers and scores goals. We didnt have this before Francis, and it doesnt look like we will have one after Francis!

So back to Safri, yes, he is our best midfielder, but if we had an attacking midfielder alongside him, when Safri was missing Hughes or Jarret could quite easily do the "sitting" role in the fizzy league, making the loss of Safri bearable.

Safri is not teh answer, its the lack of an attacking midfield partner for him that is
