Downing should really have had about 5 goals

this season, but he kept hitting the post or putting it inches wide. He's better than he's shown for Liverpool this season, but he's still not as good as Pilks, who is a much better finisher.

The really ridiculous thing is that Pilks wasn't in the Ireland squad.
