I don't disagree that Eddy should perhaps have stayed.

I doubt he would have saved us from the crap performances we've seen throughout this season.

Even a distinctly average Helveg managed to keep him out of the team last season.

Particularly in the second half I lost count of the number of interceptions he made and number passes he completed. He was a more effective midfielder than Charlton and Hughes, despite playing at right back, and we didn't ever look exposed on the right in the second half.

Admittedly I did think he was at fault for their first goal, but it appears it was Henderson's man that ran down the flank, but wasn't tracked. From that point Colin should have been breaking his back to block the cross, but instead stuck with his man and we all know what happened after that.

As I said though, he's still getting used to the English game, the club and his teammates. I'm sure he'll turn out alot better than Eddy was.
