Read his argument a min ago..

just sounds like someone that knows noting about football. Far too much is being made out of nobody expected us to stay up last year. Why?? Nigel worthington thats why. He made the players believe that before we stepped onto the pitch. He picked Holt for too long. He wouldnt pick Helveg then he did and we were good..He didnt invest in a decent cb and panicked with doherty. He did well the season we got to play offs. Average the season we came 8th. Fantastically well once Hucks was on board and we won the league prior to that it was shocking.

What would have happened had worthington signed his 1st choice signings that year?? O'Connor, Gareth Taylor etc etc. No promotion and a sacking an awful lot earlier.

The only time I've thought worthy your a legend is when we were going for promotion and he backed us and said "we will get promoted" and when he gave pardew some stick at civic reception. I also admire the way he's persuaded the board to sign Hucks and ashton. Im afraid though that the bad decisons and inability to learn from mistakes means the bad FAR outweighs the good at this point in time
