This must all be B***ocks.

You cannot just resign and start a new job without notice. I for one don't believe there was a clause allowing him to speak to other prem teams anyway but even if there was i can't see how us saying no to villa once would be a breach of sufficient seriousness to enable him to quit and tear up the contract completely.

This will be like us and Colchester and if it can't be agreed then Villa will be made to pay something.

I'm sure if it comes to it McNally would be able to show that lambert (or his reps) had spoken to villa previously anyway which would probably be a breach of contract on his part.
