I don't think there could be a player I love more than I loved Holt. I feel the same about
Lambert. That's why the way they have been acting over the past few days has made me feel so sad.
If Lambert had got the Liverpool job for example, and gone saying something like 'I've had a bruyunt to in Norwich but I just want a new challenge', I'd be disappointed of course but so proud of 'our man' and desperate for him to do well.
I think I really, really expected Holty to stay (on a better contract of course). Then retire off back to Carlisle and return for special dos - always a hero.
From a neutral's point of view, of course they've been amazing for us and maybe one day I'll be in that place and be able to say it happily and without hurting.
But I'm not there yet!
