You know how sometimes players and managers just seem to 'fit' well at particular clubs?

It could be that PL 'fitted' well here, and it won't happen for him at the biggest club in the West Midlands (similar to Mike Walker and Everton)

I'm guessing that he has had assurances that the board are going to back him with loadsamoney, like what they didn't do for McCleish, because booing at half time against Fulham will be nothing compared to what he'll get if things don't go well
