I disagree a bit

I think our players played at their best at least as much, if not more, than you would expect. What makes a top player is often not what he can do but how often he does it. The reason our players aren't 'top' players is because over their careers they have never been able to perform at a top level consistently. I think most of the players played better last season than they ever have before, and it would be hard to get much more out of them.
