In the name of God, GO!
I always admired the imagination which Mr Ferrari brought to the task of editing the Pink 'Un. But this deafening silence suggests that the job of penning a defence of Worthington has defeated even his considerable creative powers.
But judging by James Biggs's match report today even the lickspittles may be turning. It was interesting to read his pre - QPR comments on the Wrath though. It appears that the official view is that this is all the fault of the players. Partly true of course. But they are all Worthington's players. And let's take a particular case - Mr Charlton. An aging journeyman who throughout the course of his long and undistinguished career has never played central midfield. It follows as surely as night follows day that he will be poor. But really that isn't his fault is it?
The worry of course is that this is the board that didn't sack Hamilton. Unless Worthington does the decent thing, which frankly seems unlikely, Green Ashton and Safri will be gone in January, and this time next year James Bigg will be telling us all to be of good cheer because we did at least manage to compete with the MK Dons for an hour before going down 5-1.
Don't f**k about - sack him tonight.
