Interesting stuff...PLEASE READ FOR SAKE OF NCFC

This is from a reputable source - my brother-in-laws best mate is a press officer for the club and what he told me has been backed up by the son of a prominent board member who is a friend of mine at Uni.

Basically, it involves the off-field situation regarding a whole host of current NCFC players, one which really Nigel Worthington has no control over.
It started when Damien Francis and Leon McKenzie were best friends, and Francis befriended Leon's wife and ended up sleeping with her. It led to the training bground fracas involving Leon braking Francis' cheekbone.

In the summer, Leon handed in a transfer request and sais that as along as Francis was at the club, he would be looking for anothers. Hence, Francis moves to Wigan.

In another twist to the story, McKenzie then sleeps with Huckerby's wife, causing frictions between the two. And..just to add to it, Huckerby has a bit of Ashton's girlfriend, meaning the City first team squad are all very seperated - hardly like the days of Mackay, Fleming, Holt etc.

This is true, i am 99% sure.
