They don't generally become part of an interview process do they. If a club had a specific interest in Lambo and approached him solely for their vacancy, then that would mean something and show a committment to his talent.

Asking Lambert to pop over for a chat when they've already seen OGS and possibly others, suggests that Villa don't really have a decisive plan of action or indeed regard Lambert as a preference over anyone else. If he was Villa's first choice then they certainly wouldn't have seen other people beforehand.

So what does Randy say? "Thank Paul, we've got a couple of further interviews but will make a decision by next Monday". F**k off, he's better than that.

Or, "You're our first choice Paul". They why waste OGS time then?

I don't think Lambert's going anywhere.
