i could totally understand lambert leaving now

What he has achieved these past three years is amazing and everyone in football knows it. his stock is very high at the moment.

i wonder though if we finished 10-14th next season whether he would be thought any more of than he is right now.

the top 6 plus Liverpool have massively more money than us. everton, sunderland and villa also are far bigger than us. realistically mid table is our best bet and he has done that this year.

villa can't get much worse and if he wants to manage a top 4 club then taking them into top 6 or 7 might get him that opportunity.

i am sure col united fans probably could not understand why he would leave them for us. we had no money, we were below them, we were in disarray. but he saw the potential and the rest is history.

he is not a city fan, he is an ambitious manager. if he goes then it will be sad but i will understand it.
