The Martin O'Neill factor convinces me he won't go to Villa.
He'd surely consult O'Neill if he was offered it (doesn't he still refer to him as "The Gaffer"?) And given that O'Neill took them to an employment tribunal and has never given his full reasons for quitting, I think he'd tell Lambert to steer well clear.
