I am braced for Lambert to leave in the summer. Anyone else?
I just fear that he will go to Villa if they move for him in the summer.
I feel, as does PL that our squad needs an overhaul and that we will need more quality if we are to stay up next season. It will be much harder. What will make up Paul's mind will be the size of the transfer budget that he is given to rebuild the squad over the summer. If he has to shop in the bargain basement again or feels that the wage structure is stopping him from getting in the players he wants that he will decide that he has taken us as far as he can. He will then decide to leave now as he is at the peak of his Norwich City success.
He was making noises in January about us not beinng able to pay the wages players want and he is making similar, subtle comments now when interviewed. Take today for example when asked by Chris Goreham abouut plans for next season, he started saying the squad needs new faces but that the club is committed to paying off the debt.
You might think I am being negative but I think there is a very good chance he will move to Villa if they want him.
