Trevor Putney was given a hard time when he signed for NCFC, just because he came from 1p5wich - 100 apps, and part of our best side ever.

Adrian Coote was 'loved ' because he was local - 3 goals in 61 apps, palmed off to Colchester and downwards from there.

Tim Sherwood was booed because he fell out with management - and went on to Captain a title-winning side.

Summary - football fans have opinions, not all of which make sense.
