and a register scan. (google ccleaner)
Malwarebytes might be an option
I haven't used adaware for years, but that will probably do something similar
All these sites are going to clear tracking cookies and registry cookies from the history of your web browsing
Clearing those things should stop random triggers like you've been experiencing
