Yes, I complained to my bank and they launched an enquiry*..

...they wrote to me saying that they hadn't done anything wrong...

However as a token of good will, and without admitting blame they'd refund the full amount minus the cost of the outstanding loan...

I agreed and was most satisfied...

You do not need a 3rd party, it is easy to do and they'll take a cut as well (hello tuds)..
