I think fixtures are negotiated to some extent these days
randomised to a point, then rejigged. Then some clubs with sensitivity issues are taken into account
Then there's big city fixtures where one is at home, the other away
I think they're probably drafted a few times before being released
So yeah, those fixtures aren't altogether without research
