I switched to Mac about 4 years ago

No plans to switch back. They are more expensive than a cheap PC but if you compare with a similar premium PC then they come out about the same. PC users love to compare raw numbers but always ignore the quality of build and most importantly the screen quality.

The biggest deciding factor will be does the Mac support the software you want to run
