Worthy Out

Sorry folks, but this is pathetic.

People thought we had turned a corner when we beat Ipswich, and yes we improved dramatically. But everything we started doing well we've apparently regressed to doing poorly.

We're once again playing long balls from Greeno to Ashton.

We're once again playing for 45 minutes

We're once again playing with no consistency

We're once again playing with a weakened squad. How come we are so susceptible to injury? I can't believe this is simply down to bad luck!

Yes, we have a lot of injuries. But people don't think of what we've got left;

Green - England's third choice keeper
Colin - Highly rated Dutch right back
Brennan - Canadian Int
Doherty - Irish Int
Davenport - Eng U21 Int
Henderson - Eng U18 Int
Huckerby - Feared in the Premiership, let alone here
Hughes - Highly rated Championship player
Charlton - Plenty of Premiership experience
Ashton - ?5-8mil striker, U21 Int
McVeigh - RoI Int

We should still be challenging Luton with this team - so we need to seriously be asking why we are in such dire straits, and I think only one answer can be offered - Worthington.
