Only insight I can add to this, is if they've brought their conference days with them

they'll be used to conference refereeing. The officials on conference games are not full time, and often if I've been on a night game somewhere, and I see a ref let bad fouling go, it makes me think that they are possible refs from local levels getting a game for the night

I guess if Crawley have been used to that, then they probably still tackle harder and with aggression as part of the natural way it is in the conference

Plus, when you play some rough arse mining town like Barrow, they don't come for a game, so sometimes the way a team might play becomes self preservation
