Lot of publishers seem to think in the future the Kindle will be free

and all downloads will be for around ?5 each. We won't be able to compete with that.

We work on a 3 day turn around, from order to in the shop in 3 days, slightly longer than the 10 minutes to download. The government love the Kindle also, very little enviromental impact.
