...Vale were above Stoke for a season or 2 - but Stoke were always the bigger team, Vale were the plucky little club (yeah, I know you've heard that before)

Like I said below, all my Mum's side of the family were/are Vale fans - but my Dad's side are all Chelsea - so I was bought up to hate Tottenham - this is where Port Vale became my second team overnight.
Tottenham were the FA Cup Holders.......
