Lambert's tactics were ok, but the fitter side won

Martin and Johnson are tired, Howson and Ward not up to premier league speed, Holt struggled without a strike partner from the start. It also wan't a game for Pilkington, he needs our midfield to control the game for himself to get involved, it's difficult to do that when Stoke press so hard and squeeze all of the midfield spaces. We really need Morison's clever movement back in the starting eleven.
