great for multi-user access (be that via a laptop, PC, networked telly, networked music player whatever)

though if you get one steer clear of Western Digital Hard Drives, they'll be the cheapest you find, but that's due to their unreliability - but then your X-Raid will stop you from losing any data when they inevitably fail...
