from WACCOE
I would like to preface this post with a couple of things.
1) The person I have heard this information from is a work colleague who has a friend with no interest/no knowledge in football that works for a company who supplies the cleaning equipment /chemical products for the Training & First team Kit.
2) This person is frequently back and forth at Thorp Arch and speaks to staff who are based there who may or may not be in the know.
3) My work colleague would have no reason to lie.
4) This could all be bulls**t
As of last week there were no plans to replace Simon Grayson + his staff externally due to the compensation they have had to lay out. Grayson was on 9K a week and Snodin and Miller 5K each (which I thought sounded excessive). There was no mention of how much his compo was etc.
The plan as of last week which will not be a surprise to many of you was to let Redfearn take charge for the 3 games and hopefully come through them unscathed ideally with 9pts so that they could sell his appointment to the fans for the rest of the season without a backlash. This could also be the reason for the copious endorsements from the players being published in the media.
However as of Saturdays result things may have changed. Gus Poyet was apparently seen "in the building" at Thorp Arch yesterday evening. This last bit to me seems abit odd as the Poyet was up here at the weekend because of the game. So that bit may have got lost in translation.
The only thing that is curious is that Gus Poyets stance on the job has changed since Saturday his quotes in the local media have been more open to the idea than the original stuff he was saying the same afternoon Grayson was given his marching orders.
Like I said the person who has provided the information from the staff at TA has no interest in football and likely does not know who Gus Poyet is. Might all be bulls**t but because the information has originated from somebody who has no interest in the game it seems it might have some substance.
Thought i would pass it on anyway.
