I think it may have been my post you were referring to: the fillum in question was Don't Be afraid Of The Dark. Not a great film but not a terrible one, not especially scary, but plenty of startles. What I said was, don't watch this if you have a turtle's head on the go because one of the Jump Startles is so good that you might expel it. when I'd stopped laughing at myself for yelping out loud and basically running for cover, I rewound* it, watched it again, and jumped a second time.

* Not rewound; reviewed, but that word will take a while to be fully understood in its new meaning, so I'm sticking with rewind/fast forward until someone shoots me in the bonce
