seriously mate.....

...I'd do a system restore to when it last worked properly, maybe even a couple of weeks ago - you'll lose no data, only changes system files.

Just strikes me as odd that something's f**ked with your router (without you knowing) and your internet somehow becoming dependent on your HDD (although not now)
