He'd Be Tempted

Who wouldn't?

Massive club, Britain's second City-he could start by making them the top club there and in the Midlands.

What would worry me is him taking people with him-Culverhouse for certain, and maybe a few players as well?

Its not completely beyond the realms of possibility that he could end up at Man Utd or Liverpool-maybe they'd want to see him step up a bit from us first? I also think Tottenham might just take a punt on him now, "get in", so to speak, before anyone else does.

The good thing is that he and Rodgers will always be linked together for these posts-and, possibly, Rodgers would be looked at first, if only because he's English and their reputation for playing good football.

But Villa and Everton were always two clubs I would be worried about. We have history with Managers going onto both of course, with varying results.

If and when the worse happens, you can see McNally pulling the rabbit out of the hat like no other to replace him-and there would be quality applicants-but I hope it doesn't come to that for a long, long time.
