Agree with all that. (More spoilers....)

I missed that ident thing beforehand, and knew nothing about actors leaving, etc, so I had even less idea than you about what was going on. Obviously Mitchell died at the end of series three, so I presumed that was it for him.

So I was a little disappointed when Tom delivered the line about Nina being killed, and then gutted at the end when George died.

Agree about the new characters being introduced a little clunkily, but when three out of four lead actors leave a show, it's always going to be difficult.

Apart from that thought the whole thing was brilliant - dark, menacing, threatening, clever. Lad from the Fast Show came close to playing his part for laughs a bit too much. Much more might have been too much.
