Techie help please

I'm having snags with my CD writer.

I can burn video and pictures on disc ok but when i try to burn music it keeps saying "out of memory".

The CD-R is brand new out of the packet so i know there's plenty of space.

Probably something really simple but i'm not techie minded. :-(

I'm using nero express.
