and all the stats show that but reading the match reports from The Independent and Telegraph you would think were really poor and incredibly lucky to have stolen a point from hard done by Fulham.

I can't do analysis (and I'm impressed with how you can by the way!) but from watching, it just seemed to me that Fulham got their tactics wrong - especially after half time when we'd changed. Silly of them just to try and defend a one goal lead and hope for a counter attack.
