But what about playing Russell Martin at the base of the diamond?
Seems we need a defensive midfielder to protect the defense and he might be the ticket.
He can break up play and passes well enough out of the back.

Put Fox on the right in place of Crofts and you have a pretty good diamond of Martin, Fox, Surman and Hoolie.
Leon to come on as a CB or another CB in Jan.
