Everton Today
Another one of our local away days, a visit to one of the increasingly rare traditional and atmospheric football grounds that is Goodison Park. At this point, I should offer some observations about the shape of the play, the key moments and indeed Holty's marvellous goal (so I've heard). But I can't. We were sat on the back row of the Lower Bullens, and it was like watching the game through a letter-box. Compared to the Man City game experience (stadium, concourse, food, views), it pains me to say, but Goodison was positively Stone Age.
But another away point was indeed excellent. And to the patronising Evertonians at Sandhills, I wish that I'd pointed out that we're 3 points ahead of Everton and 9th in the League. So all in all a good day out.
Y-Army!
