In my house, we love the Wii, its great family fun, there is some excellent games

the Xbox is good for proper gaming. I.E shoot-em up games with brilliant graphics. also xbox live is brilliant for playing against your mates over the internets

no-one in my family can get on with the Kinnect, we have one and there are a couple of goodish games yet the sports game is a bit crappy

I hope this helps, and makes some sort of sense
