Hi mate good to see some of the old stuff.

I was at the Sheff Wed game crammed in at the front of the river end.

Tommy Bryeland was my fav player until Kenny Foggo and I can see why again watching that as he was the Wes of the day. All twists turns and flicks of which only half ever really worked out.

Still have my green and yellow painted "rattle" up in the roof. Have thought about taking it into the Pit but don't think the lads would appreciate it.

For those younger ones who thought Keelan made a mistake....well, that was the man. Brilliant for 89 mins and then could take exception to a centre forward and bang..its a penalty. Thats what we loved about him though. The papers called him the Indian Rubber Man as he was (along with the Cat at Chelsea) the most agile keeper. Great keepers like Banks had better positioning so rarely (unless facing a downward header from Pele in the World Cup) had to throw themselves about. If Kevin had time to take a pace to the left to make a full length save to the right he would. A showman and like Pat Jennings he dominated his penalty area. Only Gunny has done that since.

The talk of the Bristol City game when only 7,000 turned up. Well, I cycled from Unthank Road in the driving rain to watch that on me tod huddled under the old river end scoreboard.

Great memories so thanks again and perhaps see you in the Kings again sometime soon. As we discussed though not on Hall Road.
