Wright-Phillips showed on Saturday what having real pace can do, apart from anything else, defenders hate committing to the tackle on fast players, as the slightest miscalcuation gives away, at the very best, a free kick in a good position.

I think it was Tierney who went in on him on Saturday, took him out and at speed, but it was perfectly timed; a joy to see in an increasingly non-contact sport.
