I can't remember when it was last tried...

... not too long ago I'm sure - we played a 5 man midfield with beckham sitting in fron of the defence (which I suppose would be the natural place with lampard going forward). I also remember him not being very good there.

However, my memory of the above is a bit vague, can anyone shed any light?
