if you have the google toolbar
then go to options and untick 'drop down search history' 'save the search history across browser sessions' and 'automatically search when you select from the search history' (under search).
if it's just in internet explorer, click tools, options, and 'contents'. Then under 'semiautomatic formfilling, untick everything and press the button to clear the forms history.
