Not sure how you can do 'as well as you could ever do' in a managerial job in only 11 months.
He left them because he thought it would increase his chances of getting a better job, which might otherwise get bogged down in terms of compensation for Fulham.
Of course, football clubs show similar lack of loyalty all the time, but when they do, managers get lots of compensation. I'm happy to see his gamble failed.
