PayPal

Having used Paypal for years it is now aggressively insisting that I verify my account by linking it to a bank account.

I am deeply suspicious of providing my bank details to anyone, especially on the web

Am I being a Luddite? Is this genuine? Has anyone else done it and if so has it been OK? I do find Paypal quite convenient because it saves finding my wallet and typing in all the numbers when I am buying something, so I would like to make it work

I have tried doing a smell up the USB, for the avoidance of doubt
