To be fair, the sprinting and long-distance running discussion is only a small part of the book. It mainly focuses on things involving more skill than just running, starting with table tennis as that's what the author was Commonwealth & British champion at. There was a freakish series of events in his life that led to him getting to the top of the sport, not "natural talent".

Fascinating read as I said yesterday, no matter what your standpoint. It left me feeling very positive and certainly of the mind that if you practice hard enough at anything then you can become extremely good at it.

That is my last word on the matter. Read the book!
