The 100m final. A long slow build up, tension, twitching muscles, you just want to get on
with it. Then you're away, off to a flier, it takes a few seconds to get into your rhythm then you just focus on the finish, a few more seconds of vein bursting action, you're pumping until you don't think you can move any faster, then you near the end, you're vaguely aware of someone next to you but you remain focused, and then it's over, you you are utterly spent. You collapse on your face, panting.
Amazing. Can't wait for the Olympics.

- Isn't it ? Jumpers for lanes, young boys sweat glistening off muscles, legs pumping. Yes. (n/m) (Other Sports) - Steve in Holland, Oct 31, 16:05:43
- Blimey. I normally just stay on the sofa - might lean forwards a bit I guess. (n/m) (Other Sports) - Tricky Hawes, Oct 31, 16:02:46
- Isn't the semi-final the same? (Other Sports) - CB41, Oct 31, 16:02:17
- I wouldn't try that with just a semi. May end badly. (n/m) (Other Sports) - jafski, Oct 31, 16:03:24
