He's not getting forward much really.

This season they are playing 4-4-2 so he doesn't need to get too far forward, last season they played 4-5-1 and he was the CM who supported the lone striker.

The odds will probably be quite poor but McCormack is sticking anything that moves in the net, banker to score against his old club also.
