The thing about WWTB is

After being a success with Boro, a flop with England, a success with Twente and a flop in Germany, he has got something to prove to the British footballing media.

But instead of coming in and getting on with the job at Forest, he decided to follow the Billy Davies school of management and aimed HMS McLaren straight at the Forest board of directors. Surely having seen how Davies faired doing the same thing, he should have realised there was only ever going to be on winner.
